About Me

Hello, and welcome to Tree of Knowledge Educational Services! My name is Carroll Carr-James, and I bring over 25 years of experience in education to the families and students I serve. I hold a Master’s Degree in Education from James Madison University and have had the privilege of working as a Classroom Teacher, Reading Specialist, and Gifted & Talented Resource Teacher.  Throughout my career, I have worked with learners from kindergarten through 12th grade, supporting students across a wide range of abilities and interests.  


At Tree of Knowledge Educational Services, I combine proven strategies with a passion for nature-based, experiential learning to create engaging, individualized instruction that helps students connect with the world around them while developing the confidence and critical thinking skills they need to thrive.
